Need a pattern tester.

I’ve decided to try writing a knitting pattern for a Preemie hat but I need a willing volunteer to try it out and let me know if it’s easy to follow and doesn’t have any mistakes.

Here’s the Pattern:

Knitted Preemie Hat 

Pair each of needles 3.25mm & 4mm 

50g DK White or 25g each in two complimentary colours 

Yarn needle for sewing in ends 

Abbreviations/Instructions: 

K – Knit 

P – Purl 

sl.st – slip stitch 

K2tog – Knit 2 stitches together 

Pass sl.st. over – bring the slipped stitch over the knit 2 together stitch 

Pattern 

With 3.25 needles cast on 72 stitches and knit one row. 

Row 2: K2, P2 repeat to end of row 

Row 3 – 11: Repeat row 2 

Row 12: knit 

Change to 4mm needles (and change colour if using two colours) 

Row:13. Knit 

Row 14: Purl 

Continue repeating rows 13 & 14 until work measures 11cm. 

Next row: *K9, sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Next and every alt. Row: Purl 

Next row: K7, sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Next row: K5, sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Next row: K3, sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Next row: K1, sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Next row: sl.st., K2tog, pass sl.st. over, repeat from * to * until end 

Thread yarn through remaining stitches and pull tight.  

Sew seam and weave in all ends. 

 I’m sorry I don’t have a photo of the finished hat but I gave it to a friend before I could take one.
