Free Newborn/Preemie Beanie Pattern.

I’m attempting to write my own patterns as I’m always free styling my crochet. This one I made on the bus yesterday and decided I’d give it away free so that if there are any mistakes I will get told about them by people who use it. (At least I hope that’s how it will work ).

Newborn/Preemie Baby Beanie. 
Using 3.5mm crochet hook and approximately 25g of DK yarn.
Abreviations: UK stitches in brackets
ch = chain
sc = single crochet (double crochet)
hdc = half double crochet (half treble crochet )
dc = double crochet (treble crochet)
Ss = slip stitch
n.b. beginning chains do NOT count as stitches.
Round 1. Starting with a magic circle:  ch.1, 6 sc  in magic circle s.s. to first ch. (6 stitches)
Round 2. ch1, 2sc in evey stitch, ss to ch1 (12 stitches)
Round 3. ch1, *2sc , sc in next stitch, repeat from *  to end of round ss to ch1 (18 stitches)
Round 4. ch1, *2sc, sc, in next 2 stitches ,repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (24 stitches)
Round 5. ch1, *2sc, sc, in next 3 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (30 stitches)
Round 6. ch1, *2sc, sc,  sc in next 4 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (36 stitches)
Round 7. ch1  *2sc, sc, in next 5 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (42 Stitches)
Round 8. ch1, *2sc, sc,in next 6 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (48 stitches)
Round 9. ch 1 *2sc, sc in next 7 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (54 stitches)
Round 10. ch1, *2sc, sc in next 8 stitches, repeat from * to end of round ss to ch1 (60 stitches)
Round 11. ch2, hdc  to end, ss to top of ch2
Round 12.  ch3, *dc, ch, miss a stitch, repeat from * to end of round ss to top of ch3.
Round 13. Ch1, sc to end, ss to ch.
Rounds 14 – 19 Repeat rounds 11 to 13
Round 20. Ch3, dc in every stitch and fasten off. Weave away ends.
